Transfer Students

Transferring to Scecina Memorial from another high school is a big decision for a family. Most transfers happen at the end of a semester or a school year, but we sometimes accept them year-round.

If you wish to be considered for transfer admission, please complete the following steps:

Step 1: Submit An Application

To apply for admission, your parent/guardian can click here to create an online portal on SchoolAdmin and submit an online application. There is no application fee.

Step 2:  Academic Records

The admissions office will request the following records from your current high school.

  • Most recent report card
  • High school transcript
  • Standardized test scores
  • Attendance records
  • Discipline records
  • Home Language Survey
  • IEP or 504 plan (if applicable)
  • WIDA or LAS Links scores (if applicable)
  • Birth certificate*
  • Immunization records*

*In some instances, schools may not have these records on file and the applicant would be responsible for submitting them.

Step 3:  Submit a Teach Recommendation

From the SchoolAdmin portal, you must send a teacher recommendation request. You will need your teacher’s name and email address to complete this step. We recommend you notify your teacher ahead of time to ensure he/she completes it.

Step 4: Student Interview

Once all of the steps above have been completed, you will need to schedule a student interview. The interview is conducted by Scecina’s principal and a member of the admissions office.

Step 5: Admissions Decision

The Admissions Committee will review your application. You will be notified via email about an admissions decision. An acceptance packet will also be mailed to your home.

Step 6: Enroll!

Once you have been accepted, an enrollment checklist will appear inside your SchoolAdmin account. Please confirm your intention to enroll by completing the registration form.
