Two Crusaders Named to the Indiana Football Hall of Fame

Tom Wroblewski, Class of 1976, and Toby Jacobs, Class of 1992, will be inducted into the Indiana Football Hall of Fame on June 20 at the Primo Banquet Hall.

Tom Wroblewski ’76

Tom was an All-City and All-State offensive and defensive tackle and a state finalist in wrestling and track. He was named the Indianapolis Star’s City Athlete of the Year in 1976.

Upon graduating from Scecina, Tom went on to Notre Dame, where he played with Joe Montana on the 1977 National Championship team. He also wrestled for the Irish for four years.

 

Toby Jacobs ’92

Toby Jacobs graduated from Scecina in 1992, where he excelled in football, basketball, and baseball for the Crusaders. He helped lead Scecina to consecutive state championships in 1990 and 1991.

Toby was named All-State in basketball and baseball, and the Indianapolis Star named him the City Athlete of the Year in 1992. Toby went on to star in football at Butler University as a quarterback. He is currently a coach at Mt. Vernon, serving as their offensive coordinator.
