Scecina passes $4.8 million toward $6 million capital campaign goal

Dear Crusaders,
It’s a pleasure to update you on the progress of Scecina’s first capital campaign, Our Faith, Our Journey, Our Time. A month ago, at the campaign kickoff event on campus, we announced the $6 million goal and the campaign’s six priorities. The event was a wonderful celebration and evening of fellowship with 500 Scecina alumni, friends, parents, students, and staff in attendance.
Five weeks after the kickoff event, I’m happy to announce that capital campaign pledges have surpassed the $4.8 million mark as we head to $6 million. I thank every one of our campaign donors for their generosity and belief in Scecina. They will make a long-lasting impact.
Jeff Lathrop, Class of 1996, and his wife, Jennifer, have generously volunteered and financially invested in the campaign. They are campaign volunteers as well as the parents of a Scecina freshman. As a refresher, here are the six capital campaign funding priorities:
• Establishing an Academic Excellence Fund
• Transforming the main school entrance
• Constructing new athletic and activity fields
• Modernizing and relocating the chapel
• Modernizing and relocating the weight training room for security purposes
• Expanding the Facilities Endowment Fund.
