President Therber: Finishing the year strong

Spread the love

Scecina teacher Mrs. Nancy Greathouse with some of her Spanish students.

The month of May always is one of the best and busiest months of the year at Scecina.

We celebrated the 62 recipients of the President’s Academic Excellence Awards two weeks ago; spring sports are in full swing; three Christian Awakening senior retreats took place this spring; and the Class of 2021 Commencement is just around the corner.

I want to thank our outstanding teachers here at Scecina. Their dedication, flexibility, and innovation have been genuine gifts to our students during the extreme challenges of the past year. While schools in many parts of our country have not operated in person, Scecina has ministered in person, thanks in large part to our teachers’ unwavering commitment to Catholic education. In the same spirit, I salute our faithful, dedicated, and resilient administrators and support staff, all of whom have worked tirelessly in support of our teachers and students.

Our students have persevered with amazing resiliency and success. Along the way, many Scecina families have experienced challenging economic circumstances this year. Many still need increased tuition assistance due to factors beyond their control. We do everything we can to help every family afford their Scecina education.

Thank you to our strong community of supporters. When we ask, you step forward. You have made this memorable school year a success in countless ways through your prayers, your belief in our mission, and your gifts of financial support.

We plan to finish the year strong and keep looking forward! Thank YOU!

Sincerely,

Joe Therber
President
