“Coming to Scecina, I was unsure of what my high school career would look like,” she said. “My experience turned into life lessons that will guide me through my next stage of life.”

Isabelle’s parents are Sarah, a science teacher at Scecina, and Andrew Smith. She is a member of Holy Spirit Parish and a graduate of Holy Spirit Catholic School.

Faith plans to attend Indiana University. At Scecina, she has been a member of Student Ambassadors, National Honor Society, Rock Band, and Key Club. She’s enjoyed theatre, acting and singing in Scecina musicals and plays.

“I am thankful for my time at Scecina because it has given me a great high school experience, has expanded my interests, and introduced me to some of the best people I have ever met,” she said.

Faith’s sister Hope is the Class of 2022 salutatorian. She’s also been in theatre as well as Key Club and National Honor Society. Hope also was a member of the Crusader girls golf team.

“When I was first coming to Scecina (for my) freshman year, I had no idea that I would – or could – accomplish much,” Hope said. “I’ve surprised myself with what I’ve done while at Scecina, like joining theatre, having a high school sport, and making good friends, none of which I could have imagined achieving four years ago.”

She plans to attend Indiana University.

Faith and Hope are members of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish and the daughters of Beth and Brian Bakemeyer. They both attended Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School.

Scecina’s Baccalaureate Mass will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 26, at Little Flower Catholic Church, and Commencement at 7 p.m. Friday, May 27, at Scecina.
