Kicker’s community service scores another win
Alex Mendoza
Congratulations to Scecina senior Alex Mendoza. Alex has been recognized by the Indiana Football Coaches Association on its 2021 Good Works Team.
Alex, a St. Philip Neri parishioner and graduate of Holy Cross Central Catholic School, has been involved in a variety of community service programs. He has tutored grade and junior high school students through the Crispus Attucks Parent Student Teacher Association.
Alex also has been a volunteer for Keep Indianapolis Beautiful. He also attended a leadership development program called Project Mr. for young men who live in the inner city, sponsored by the Center for Leadership Development.
The IFCA recognizes players, groups, and teams who have committed to serving others. All nominees have served in an extraordinary way and are tremendous representatives of the power of football to make a difference in our communities.
