Big plans for Scecina will be unveiled at Capital Campaign Kickoff Party
By Scecina President Joe Therber
Something big is happening at Scecina Memorial High School! We have exciting plans to announce about Scecina’s capital campaign, “Our Faith, Our Journey, Our Time.”
You can discover more about what’s happening at the Capital Campaign Kickoff Party on Thursday, September 26, from 6 p.m.-7:30 p.m. at Scecina.
I know you may have questions about this unique event. Please let me provide some answers.
Q. Who’s invited?
A. We’ve invited the whole Scecina Community: students, parents, alumni, community members, and our staff.
Q. Do I have to pay to attend the party?
A. No. Please come as our guests!
Q. What activities are planned?
A. Food and drink, music by Scecina’s Rock Band, cornhole, children’s obstacle course, face-painting, door prizes, and more. In the event of rain, we will move the activities inside the school.
Q. What’s on the food and drink menu?
A. This will be a catered cookout like a tailgate party — hamburgers, hot dogs, and beverages, including some adult ones.
Q. Will there be a long program?
A. No, we will have a brief program so that you can hear from enthusiastic supporters, see the campaign video, hear how the campaign is doing so far, and see our architect’s renderings of the improvements planned for Scecina’s campus if we reach our campaign goals.
Q. Will you ask for money at this event?
A. No. We simply want you to come and be part of this community event so you can enjoy fellowship, catch the vision, spread the word, and consider participating in the campaign later this year.
Q. How do we RSVP?
A. Please go to www.scecina.org/kickoff to let us know you’re coming. That’s it!
Thank you for all you do for the Scecina Community. We’re so excited to share this good news about what’s happening for Scecina. It’s all good!
