Scecina Celebrates Two Outstanding Honorees at the AOH St. Patrick’s Day Celebration
Scecina Memorial High School is proud to announce two of its own were recognized at the Ancient Order of Hibernians (AOH) Kevin Barry Division St. Patrick’s Day Celebration.
Peter Certo ’25 receives the Joe and Mary Frances Dugan AOH Scholarship.
Congratulations to Peter Certo, Class of 2025 Salutatorian at Scecina Memorial, for receiving the prestigious Joe and Mary Frances Dugan AOH Scholarship. Peter’s dedication to his studies and commitment to his community have earned him this esteemed recognition. Peter attended Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School and is a St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church member. His parents are David and Megan Certo. We are so proud of Peter’s achievement and look forward to seeing all he will accomplish.
Brian Lyons ’83, Scecina alum, receives the Thomas B. Shea Memorial Hibernian of the Year Award.
Scecina Memorial alum Brian Lyons, Class of 1983, was honored with the Thomas B. Shea Memorial Hibernian of the Year Award. Brian’s unwavering dedication to community service and willingness to always give a little extra in all he does has earned him this prestigious recognition. Following in the footsteps of Father Thomas Scecina, Brian has exemplified the same commitment to service and leadership that has become a hallmark of the Scecina community.

Both of these outstanding individuals exemplify the values of leadership, community, and service. We congratulate Peter and Brian for their remarkable accomplishments and thank the AOH Kevin Barry Division for their continued support of Scecina Memorial High School.
