President Joe Therber: Operation Homestretch begins for the capital campaign

Spread the love

Dear Scecina Community,

It’s always a blessing to share good news!

Here’s our good news: Scecina’s generous community has helped us close in on our $6+ million goal for Our Faith, Our Journey, Our Time, the capital campaign for Scecina Memorial High School. Thank you so much for your generous support for Scecina and the capital campaign.

We kicked off the public phase of the campaign a year ago and are thrilled to have raised $5.8 million in pledges and donations. We also completed the first campaign project: a new weight room, relocated to the school building for students’ safety.

Then the coronavirus pandemic struck, and we paused the active phase of the campaign.

I am pleased to announce the capital campaign restarted on September 23 for Operation Homestretch, the final 100 days.

I’m grateful for how far we’ve come and for all of Scecina’s generous supporters. We still have a way to go to reach our $6+ million goal. I feel extremely confident that we can do it over these next 100 days!

We will share more on the campaign very soon! For now, please visit www.scecina.org/campaign to refresh on the campaign case points.

This capital campaign has energized the Scecina Community. Students, staff, alumni, and friends are excited to watch as we move forward. “I think this capital campaign will benefit Scecina a lot, and I can’t wait to see what it turns out to be,” said Emily Vasquez, a current junior at Scecina.

Thank you for your prayers and support for the campaign. Our vision is for Scecina to shine brightly for future generations of students. Together, as the Scecina Community, we are making that vision a reality!

Thank you and God bless,
