Dear Scecina Community,

I am thrilled to provide you with an exciting update on the progress of the largest construction project in Scecina’s history. Since demolition began on April 11, the campus has been bustling with activity. Phase 1 included the installation of construction fencing, demolition of baseball field structures, and initial earthwork on the current athletic fields and front entrance.

Phase 2 is actively underway, involving major earthwork to the front lawn of the school and the athletic fields.The new front entrance will be rebuilt to create a welcoming and accessible environment for students, families, and guests. It will incorporate accessibility features in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), student gathering areas, modern safety and security features, visitor-friendly parking, landscaping, and signage. We are committed to ensuring that every individual who visits Scecina feels welcome and can navigate our campus with ease.

Phase 2 of the athletic field construction involves several essential steps. Our dedicated construction team is currently excavating the existing grass and soil, removing asphalt from the parking lot, making necessary electrical adjustments, and preparing to install the field turf subsystem and the field turf itself for our football, soccer, and baseball programs.

The hard work and dedication of our construction partner, Wurster Construction, has been instrumental in ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of this transformative project. We are truly grateful for their expertise and commitment, plus that of entheos Architects and our Scecina staff, in delivering outstanding results.
