Scecina Hires New Head Football Coach Dan Harris
We are pleased to announce that Mr. Dan Harris has been appointed Scecina Memorial High School’s new head football coach and social studies teacher.
Harris is an accomplished coach with significant experience at Roncalli, Ben Davis, and Noblesville. His experience includes four consecutive Indiana High School Athletic Association Final Four appearances, including two as a defensive coordinator.
Harris is thrilled to join the Scecina community and is eager to continue the tradition of excellence established by his predecessor, Coach Ott Hurrle. “I am incredibly honored to become the new head football coach at Scecina,” said Harris. “I’m excited to continue building the excellent program that Coach Hurrle has built for so many years. Faith, family, and football have forever been ingrained in my life, and I can’t wait to instill those same values in current and future Scecina Crusaders.”
Jason Kehrer, Scecina’s Athletic Director, expressed optimism about the program, stating, “We are filled with anticipation and confidence that our student-athletes will continue to thrive on and off the field under Harris’ exceptional leadership.”
Dan and his wife, Hannah, are the proud parents of their son Gabe and are members of St. Jude Parish.
We are thrilled to welcome Dan Harris as our new head football coach. We are confident he will be a valuable addition to our team of educators, and we anticipate the continued success of our football program under his leadership.
Go, Crusaders!
