2025 East Deanery Band Festival
Students from Holy Spirit, Our Lady of Lourdes, and Scecina Memorial High School came together for a day of music at the East Deanery Band Festival.
A special highlight was learning all about jazz music from professional jazz trumpeter Kent Hickey, who plays and teaches all around Indianapolis. Kent shared his expertise and invited student volunteers for a fun jam session.
We were fortunate to have guest euphonium player Garrett Hartman lead our brass section and even play alongside the low brass during rehearsal. Having such talented professionals mentor our students made the day extra special.
