High School Placement Test Dates

All students applying for freshman admission to Scecina are required to take the HSPT exam. The exams start promptly at 8:00 am and end at 11:15 a.m.

  • October 8, 2022 at 8 a.m.
  • November 12, 2022, at 8:00 a.m.
  • December 3, 2022, at 8:00 a.m.
  • January 7, 2023, at 8:00 a.m.

Shadow Days

We are excited to welcome 8th-grade students who are interested in being a member of Scecina’s Class of 2027! Prospective students will shadow a student ambassador and attend two classes, meet our president, principal, teachers, and get a sneak peek into life as a Crusader.

Notes for Shadow Day:

  • Students should plan to arrive at the school’s main entrance on Nowland Avenue by 8:10 a.m.
  • Students will be released at 11:30 a.m. at the school’s main entrance.
  • Students should wear their school uniform
  • Parents and guardians are welcome to attend the Shadow Day Welcome from 8:15 to 8:30 am

Open House

You can go anywhere from here! We believe Scecina can be your pathway to college, career, and life success. We build a foundation of faith and values for you through a caring faculty, rigorous curriculum, small class sizes, spiritual growth opportunities, and a healthy and safe environment.

Our Open House is on Thursday, November 3, 2022, from 6 to 8 p.m. Below, you can fine the schedule for the night so you can plan to attend during the time that works best for you and your family!

  • 6:05 p.m. – Welcome and Prayer

The opening prayer and introduction begin at 6:05 p.m. and are wonderful opportunities to connect as a group before exploring the fair, touring the school with a Student Ambassador, and enjoying refreshments.

  • 6:15 – 8 p.m. – Scecina Fair, Tours, and Refreshments

Between 6:15 and 8 p.m., you will be able to explore the fair, tour the school with a Student Ambassador, and enjoy refreshments in the cafeteria. At the Scecina Fair, you can walk around the gym floor at your leisure to meet and speak with teachers, school leaders, coaches, and club moderators.

Curriculum Night

Students who have been accepted into the Class of 2027 are asked to attend Curriculum Night. During this event, the student will be able to meet with a staff member to request courses for freshman year.

  • March 1 and March 8, 2023

Early Bird Registration Deadline

Students who apply and enroll at Scecina by March 17, 2023, are eligible for a $3,000 Early Bird Scholarship. All five items below must be completed. One name will be selected on April 4, 2022.

☐ Be accepted as a member of Scecina’s Class of 2027
☐ Complete your registration form and pay the registration fee
☐ Complete the tuition assistance application or financial aid waiver
☐ Course Request by attending Curriculum Night on February 23 or March 2 or making an individual appointment.

New Student Orientation

New Student Orientation allows enrolled incoming students to learn the ins and outs of Scecina Memorial High School by attending sessions on navigating life as a successful Scecina student. During these sessions, students can interact with Student Ambassadors, meet new classmates and teachers; practice going through their class schedule, opening their locker, and finding their way around the school building.

Parents are also asked to attend a Parent Orientation for the opportunity to pose questions and get answers from the administration.

New Student Orientation will conclude with a cookout for incoming students and their families.
