Scecina Memorial High School is pleased to announce Jacob DeWilde as the new head girls basketball coach.

DeWilde takes over the program after serving as an assistant at Scecina last year. He brings 10 years of coaching experience, including seven years at the high school level and three years as an assistant coach at Butler University. He is also a physical education teacher at Scecina and Saint Philip Neri Catholic School in the East Deanery of Indianapolis.

“I am excited for this opportunity to lead the Scecina girls basketball program,” DeWilde said. “I hope I can bring new energy to the program and I am looking forward to working with such a great group of kids.”

Jacob lives in Indianapolis with his wife, Lindsay, and their two children, Jack and Lucie.

DeWilde replaces Jim McNulty, who served as head girls basketball coach since 2016.

In appreciation for Coach McNulty’s service, Athletic Director Jason Kehrer said, “We are most grateful to Coach McNulty for being a superb role model and representative of Scecina, and we look forward to his continued involvement in our girls basketball program.”
